Turkey statement from Sweden, whose NATO membership process continues: Cooperation will be increased

After the Russian-Ukrainian war, Sweden and Dinlansiya, which applied for NATO membership, accepted all the demands of Turkey. Remarkable statements came from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “The meeting should be seen as part of a deepened, long-term cooperation between Sweden and Turkey. Considering the background of Sweden’s NATO membership, this cooperation is important and natural.” it was said.
Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary Oscar Stenström said that within the scope of the agreement signed by Turkey, Finland and Sweden, it was decided to increase cooperation between Turkey and Swedish security units.

Stenström evaluated the first meeting of the Permanent Joint Mechanism held in Vantaa, Finland on August 26, within the scope of the agreement signed by Turkey, Finland and Sweden, to Aftonbladet newspaper.

Stating that the meeting discussed how the Tripartite Memorandum agreement signed on 28 June at the NATO Madrid Summit was discussed, Stenström said, “The talks with Turkey were constructive and open-hearted. In the meeting, it was decided to increase the cooperation between the security units of the countries in accordance with the agreement. The meeting was held between Sweden and Turkey. “This cooperation is important and natural given the background of Sweden’s NATO membership.” used the phrase.
