Emergency in Switzerland: Those who do not comply with the measures can go to jail…

Crisis bells are ringing in Europe, which is struggling with the negative effects of the Russian-Ukrainian war. While warnings about energy saving came one after another, things got a little more complicated in Switzerland. If the energy shortage becomes an emergency, prison sentences are on the agenda for those who do not comply with the rules.
In Switzerland, where the energy crisis discussions have not fallen off the agenda, it has been reported that those who do not implement the saving measures will be sentenced to prison if the energy problem reaches the level of emergency in the winter season.

ROOMS TEMPERATURE LIMITED

In the news in the Blick newspaper, it was noted that if there is not enough natural gas in winter, the temperature level of the rooms in the houses heated with natural gas will be limited to 19 degrees and the hot water level to 60 degrees.

ELECTRIC STOVE PROHIBITED

In this case, it was stated that the use of electric stoves will also be prohibited, and saunas and swimming pools in the houses will be kept cold. It was emphasized that if the energy shortage becomes an emergency, those who do not comply with the austerity measures stipulated by the government can be sentenced to up to 3 years in prison or a fine.
